AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): During National Deworming Day programme held at Pragna Bhawan on Friday, Director of Education Prashant Kr. Goyal and NHM MD Ravel Hemendra Kumar alerts the DMs about the poor reports about the various Private schools in Tripura.
It was said during the programme in North Tripura the number of students studying in private schools are very less, which questions on the quality of Education there.
According to the reports given by Education and Health Dept. there, atleast 60% of the calculated students has been identified as under a disease named STH (Soil Transmitted helminth). But the disease was more found in private schools children which was 50% more than the Govt. Schools.
However, the reason behind it has shown as---'-most of the schools are based on rural areas. But private schools inspection is also under the state govt, said Education Director Prashant Kr. Goyal.
Criticizing the Govt. officials, the Director of Education Prashant Kr. Goyal said that the private schools are in very poor condition, which needs to be taken care.
Expressing extreme displeasure against the DMs, ADMs and high govt. officials he said “Please be serious about children’s health include private schools too”. “The monitoring is not at all satisfactory”, he added.
The officials also do not maintain the data of ongoing works, which is not at all expectable, said Goyal.
However RTE is implemented in every schools including the private schools. But under Health Minister Badal Choudhury and Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty the students' health is neglected in state, also in private schools.
Nobody checks the quality of Education there and thus question raising about the Education set-up and evolution process, health check ups etc. at Private schools.
