AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): BJP former president Ranajoy Kr. Deb held press meet on Monday to announce about a court order issued against Tripura RD Dept.
Addressing the press meet BJP former President Ranajoy Kumar Deb told media that in the year 2013, with an allegation of poor construction work held at Kadamtala at Govindapur.
The issue was regarding a culvert construction.
During the construction work locals asked the BDO Subhash Acharjee to check the quality of the ongoing work, but as it remained unchecked the locals never used the culvert after construction.
However, with this Ranajay Deb filed a case in a lower court under state Tripura, the report of which has been published on June 14.
In a court order it has been said that due to lack of site observation by BDO the culvert construction was of very poor quality.
The court has further asked for ‘Re-construction’ of the culvert.
BJP alleged that atleast Rs. 5 lakhs were embezzled during the construction work.
