AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): With the demand of upgrade the livelihood at hilly areas, Tripura Peoples Party held a press meet on Monday.
According to their demands, as the hilly areas are acutely suffering from food-crisis since decades, so they should be provided with free ration.
Moreover, there is no proper medical centre in hilly areas, resulting out in plenty number of malaria deaths every year. Lack of nutritious food, proper medical care has been a part of hilly Tripura’s people.
Jhum cultivation has also been stopped since many years, resulting acute food crisis over hilly areas.
So, TPP has demanded for free ration supply to hills.
In this regard TPP to hold protest rally on July 11 and before that in every subdivisions deputations will be placed before the SDMs.
