AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Amidst high flight rates, Agartala airport has remained as the 2nd busiest airport in North East after Guwahati Airport.

This indicates however, the interest of the people in Tripura from outside increasing day by day.

But it can’t be ignored that due to the lack of communication and pathetic road-way people till day prefers to go via flight journey amidst high flight fares.

Once the Express train starts the demand of flight will be reduced.

It’s worthy to mention here that although it’s the one of the busiest airports in North East, but airport expansion process has remained in stake.

Airport expansion work will help to improve management inside the building. .
