AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): Congress leaders and workers in Tripura celebrated the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on Thursday at Congress Bhawan, where PCC Chief addressed the media and Congress members about the importance of Ambedkar’s socio-economic policy still in India.

In this regard PCC Chief called for a meeting at Congress Bhawan.

During the meeting it was said that that youth should emulate Dr Ambedkar and work for the development of the poorest of the poor.

Ambedkar was responsible for the establishment of finance Commission in India. He is also considered as the source of ‘Women-Empowerment’.

Dr. Ambedkar, the architect of Indian constitution was a liberal and democrat to the core in thought and action.

He gave shape to our Constitution that promotes democratic values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity and is anchored in secularism and social justice.
