AGARTALA / KOLKATA, May 28 (TIWN): State BJP President Biplab Deb on Friday went to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO ) and met with Officer on Special Duty (OSD) PMO Sanjay Bapsa in his office . This is the first time that BJP President Biplab Deb met with a high level official of PMO after assuming the chair of State BJP President. Biplab Deb went to Delhi after attending the Oath Taking ceremony of Sarbananda Sonowal , BJP Chief Minister of Assam. During his stay in Delhi Biplab met with various officials of different departments of Gov't of India. BJP spokesman Prasenjit Chakraborty informed this in a press release issued from State BJP Headquarters at Agartala.
During this meeting BiplabDeb submitted the details about the ongoing situations in Tripura like :-
1) Increasing tortures on women especially on minor girls
2) Non-performance of administration and police to protect the women and girls
3) Misappropriation of MGNREGA funds
4) Transfer of Centrally Sponsored Funds for petty political purpose
Biplab Deb also demanded that Centre must take initiative to conduct impartial audit in each block to find out whether MGNREGA funds have been utilized properly or not . Meeting with the officials of different departments Biplab Deb handed over a statistical presentation of how CPI-M ruled gov't in Tripura is submerged in corruption and how badly the people in the state are suffering .
Meanwhile BJP Spokesman Prasenjit Chakraborty said in the press release that OSD of PMO Sanjay Bapsa was shocked to learn that even after 33 years of CPI-M rule in Tripura more than 67% people in the state are living under poverty line . OSD informed Biplab Deb that he will put the matters before the Prime Minister Narendra Modi once he returns from the NEC meeting held in Shillong .
It is to be mentioned here that in the complete absence of police administration women , especially the minor girls, are becoming victims of ruthless tortures. Tripura Woman Commission and Tripura Police Accountability Commission are simply acting as puppets in the hands of ruling party and its leaders.
