AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN) : A sudden rain that lashed a few parts of the State on Wednesday morning brought the much -needed relief to people from sweltering heat conditions prevailing across the State for the last few days.
For people of the capital city and few other areas, it was like a blessing in disguise.
Cloudy weather brought the much-needed relief in the early hours.
People in Tripura heaved a sigh of relief after moderate rain was witnessed in many places in the state. Several villages also received moderate to heavy rainfall, inundating fields in a few villages.
But continuous rain may damage the crops. However, after the rain, brought delight to the residents, who were reeling under sweltering heat.
On the other hand, this rain will solve few amount of water scarcity. It is to be mentioned that many interior tribal localities in Tripura are facing acute drinking water crisis.
People ther have to rely upon water hand pumps and local streams installed in few villages and rain relieves them from this dry season.
