KAMALPUR, March 2 (TIWN): The financial year 2015-16 has come to the dead end. Only few days left in the fiscal. And in this context, the officials also become busy. They get busy for making up all the accounts of the offices in a clean and clear method. The Salema RD Block is not an exception in this context.
The Block several times remained in the media captions for complete embezzlements in the engineering cell works. In the previous years, many works were shown completed.
But the authority could not produce any utilization certificate or completion report. The BDOs and the Executives of the RD happily passed those works. Many engineers never went to visit sites.
They happily depend on their assistant masons for their works. This condition prevails in this fiscal too. Several times, different works come under scanner for quality and monetary management. Still, the work culture not changed. More mysteriously, the technical heads of RD, Ambassa division reduced their inspection visits. So, the quality of the works becomes sure to deteriorate.
Again, in different social schemes and welfare programs, there also remain many allegations of mismanagement. Those matters should also to be suppressed during the finalization of accounts. Hence, the offices of the block now remain open till night. Even the orderly of the block has no permission to leave the office. The engineers, section in-charges and obviously the top boss BDO get busy enough to make up all the loopholes. And after the 31st March, they would enjoy a virtually mocking day as they would become successful to make the ‘golden’ government a real ‘April’s fool’
