AGARTALA, Feb 25 (TIWN) : Before the railway engines to arrive broad gauge tracks, workers are now busy at Agartala Railway Station to give final touches of construction. Agartala Railway station is being decorated with cemented statues, and platforms are designing with various decorations.

Presently, workers are busy to polish platform and other things as track construction is completed.  

According to the NFR’s plan, Agartala railway station will start to function fully from From April as March 31 was set as the dealine for finishing the broad-gauge conversion work.

But although the track was completed, but the final decoration in railway platforms are yet to be completed. The ticket counter also at Agartala Rail sation need to be made operational.

Alongwith this, railway authority had assured to keep a steam engine at the premises of the railway station to maintain the history; there will also be a flower garden along with a new parking place, and meter gauge coach at the entrance of the railway station.

However, other works are completed as extension of platforms, creation of new platforms and installation of new BG rail tracks. As part of Mega block, the BG conversion works are also going on in full wave in Agartala railway station.

Days are not so far when Tripura will be connected with the of Broad-gauge railway network system and numbers of workers are engaged in the renovation work of the Agartala railway station.

The old platform was broken and new platform has been constructed to accommodate the train.
