AGARTALA, Feb 21 (TIWN): Tripura Police to produce the arrested accused of dual murder of Dukli before the court on February 20 next confirmed police sources on Saturday.

Talking about the issue, police sources mentioned that on February 22 both the accused will be produced before the court.

Besides, it has been mentioned that interrogation is going on and police are in search of third accused who has been absconding from the day of the incident.

However, the accused Rupan Das (24) has been sent for police custody after the hearing in February 17 and Prasenjit Paul was sent for judicial custody.

It is to be mentioned here that the incident took place on early morning of February 9 at East Dukli.

According to the reports, the body of Gouri Chakraborty (Mother) has been recovered from her residence and the body of her son (Debabrata Chakraborty) has been recovered from a pond which is 200 metre away from their residence.

The body of Debabrata Chakraborty was recovered beheaded from the pond.

However, investigation is going on to arrest the absconding accused.

Besides, the knife with which the accused has murdered the mother and the son has been recovered by the Tripura police.

However, the accused are expected to be produced before the court on February 22.

However, on the day of incident police rushed to the spot and started with the investigation. Tripura police though the Tripura police have successfully arrested the two accused but investigation is going on to arrest the third culprit.
