AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): INTTUC, Tripura state committee on Wednesday placed deputation to Director General Police at Police headquarter demanding the arrest of the accessed involved in the Jamburatilla attack incident under Khowai district.

Placing the deputation the 8 member’s team of the INTTUC Tripura state committee demanded to arrest the accused as early as possible and restore peace and tranquility at Khowai.

It is to be mentioned here that on February 9, allegedly some miscreants of the CPI-M party attacked the Khowai District Trinamool president Manoj Das and Susanta Debnath  at about 5 pm in the evening.  The team further said that the miscreants had also demolished the Khowai District Trinamool Party office and Trinamool party office at Jamburatilla .

The members further said that the attack was done under the lead of the UP-Pradhan of Jamburatilla where as ASI of police department were the main culprits.

The accused are   identified as Swapan Debnath, Litton Sarkar, Raju Debbarma, and Manish Sutradhar.

It is to be mentioned here that a case was also lodged at Khowai Police station on the same day and deputation was placed at Agartala police HQ.

However, INTTUC has further demanded action against the accused as early as possible.
