KAMALPUR, Feb 16 (TIWN): The small savings scam at Noagaon branch post office has ultimately succeeded to attain some kind of remedy for the depositors. The deposits of amount less than five thousand rupees have started to be disbursed among the depositors.

The scam of almost 15, 00, 000 of rupees got unearthed almost a year ago art Noagaon branch post office. The depositors gave deputations to the Sub Post Master of Kamalpur Post Office, the Inspector of Posts and the SDM. The SDM initiated the matter to the Head Post Master of Dharmanagar and the Superintendent of Posts.

Still, the disbursement of deposits seemed to be stranded. The authority remained busy in giving time after time to the depositors. TIWN several times covered the matter in public interest. And then from the last half of the month of January, the disbursement of deposits of less than 5, 000 rupees of amount started.

The authority assured the depositors that, the deposits amounting more than 5, 000 rupees would start to disburse from the late of March or first half of April this year. This created some kind of relief among the depositors of Noagaon area.
