AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN): In a bizarre incident at least 5 people were left seriously injured in a road mishap at Pragati road on Sunday.

The incident triggered serious panic among the common people after a Tata Nano car and a bike head on collided with each other and left at least 5 injured.

Road accidents-leading to death and injuries has become a regular stuff. Recently in a road mishap on Sunday, 5 people were left seriously injured at Pragati road.

The victims are yet to be identified.

However, the accident occurred when a tata nano car bearing number TR01-AD045 head on collided with a brake and lost control over the brakes. The drivers along with 4 other passengers were left injured in the accident. The front part of the vehicle was massively squeezed when the bike hit the car.

The passengers stated that the car was moving from Durgachowmuahni area and the bike was coming from Lake chowmuhani area.

Getting alarm the local police reached the spot and immediately rushed the injured to the GB hospital.

Police is suspecting that due to reckless driving the bike rider has hit the car Police is also suspecting that driver was intoxicated and lost control over the brakes.

The driver of the accused bike was sent for immediate treatment as he succumbed to serious injuries.

Getting alarm the localites reached to the spot and immediately got engaged in rescue drive.

However, police is further investigating the case.
