AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN) : Five times winner from Sonamura Constituency MLA Subal Rudra has accused of for capturing government land which was allotted for homeless people at Melaghar.
The families alleged that now land mafias are active in capturing the vaccant land and accused Subal Rudra of influencing the anti-social elements.
Sabita Dhar one of the resident of that colony told that some parts of their government colony was sold by the land mafias. The mafias cut hundreds of trees in that area and destroyed the road for selling the land.
The families formed a committee 'Bhumihin colony banchaw committee'. Sources said, the family members also informed the matter to the CPM state secretary Bijan Dhar. Family members told the party secretary assured them to look after the matter.
Sources said, Bijan Dhar the party secretary ordered local leaders to take the matter seriously. One of the local Sonamura CPM leader Suresh Das said, if any one of our party make relation with the land mafias then party will take strong action against him or her. And he also assured that, left front government gave that land to the landless people and the party will save their rights.
If anyone tried to capture their land and the rights of the poor people then party will fight against them, Suresh Das added.
Sources said, several allegation was raise against Subal Rudra earlier. But one upon a time he was supreme of CPM in Sonamura Sub-division. He was a good organizer too. But in last assembly election 2013 party did not give him ticket for nomination.
Sources said, state party leaders would create a enquiry committee to investigate the matter, and maybe he will kicked out from the party.
