KALYANPUR, Feb 11 (TIWN) : All necessary measures have been taken to accomplish the Feb 24th village committee election.
VC election is going to be held in various subdivisions subdivision’s ADC area. However, keeping in mind the upcoming election the administration is to arrange extra security arrangements to conduct elections, smoothly in these villages, said police.
On Thusday Kalyanpur police called all the political party leaders to participate in a joint meeting with the police and to discuss about the upcoming election.
However, giving response to the call of police, party leaders joined in that meet and assured to co-operate with the police.
On behalf of CPM, Pranab Chakraborty, Govinda Debbarma joined in the meeting. IPFT, Cong. BJP leaders had also been present.
During the meet various codes and conducts were informed to the party members and without police permission no meeting or conference can be held at any place, said police.
O/C Shanti Bhushan Saha headed the meeting and discussed various rules and regulations which the parties have to maintain during election time and campaign times.
It’s to be mentioned here that security beefed up to maintain the peace during the VC election on Feb 24. Less than 2 weeks have been left for VC election and as ADC areas are sensitive, so, Security has tighten in very subdivisions for ensuring VC election.
