UDAIPUR, Feb 5 (TIWN): Demanding to amend the prevention of atrocities act of ST/ SC, Tripura Tapashili Jati Shamannaye Samiti on Friday staged a mass demonstration near Udaipur Post Office.
During the programme, the organization demanded to provide a seat for the Tapoashiliat the Lok Sabha by seeing the ration of the population of the State.
Besides, they also urged to conduct a meeting to discuss about the dalit issue at the parliament level.
Further, they demanded to increase the man days of MGNREGA to 200 days and to increase the wages to Rs. 300.
During the programme, MLA Madhab Saha, CPM Udaipur Divisional Secretary Manik Biswas and other were also present.
However, the organization has been demanding for long time for the stringent legislation to prevent atrocities against the dalits.
However, Tripura Tapashili Jati Shamannaye Samiti of Udaipur sub-division has organized the mass demonstration with an aim to fulfil their prolonged demands.
