KAMALPUR, Feb 3 (TIWN): Four-day long flower exhibition started from the last evening here at Kamalpur at the Netaji corner. In an open air, the show of the beauteous excellence would continue for the next three days.

The flower show got inaugurated by the MLA Bijoy Lakshmi Sinha. In the long and monotonous inaugural speech, Mrs. Sinha called up the life and living of her deceased husband and former Health Minister of the state Bimal Sinha. She gave the credit of beginning flower-show in the state to her hubby to a great extent.

After her long speech filled personal memories and pathos, the inaugural function concluded with the speeches of other dignitaries and the presiding speech by the Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Subrata Bhattacharjee. Then the cultural program continued almost up to 9-30 pm.

In that show, in total 252 potted flowers of different categories were presented by the floriculturists. Among those flowers, the selection of first, second and third prizes were declared in different categories. People virtually thronged into the show to have a glimpse of the beauty.
