AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): Tripura State Council for Science and Technology on Wednesday organized a rally protesting over the goons attack.

The rally has walked and covered the city protesting over the goons attack.

Tripura State Council for Science and Technology (TSCST) Constituted on advice of the Planning Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India on May 31, 1984.

Constituent Autonomous Organization of Department of Science, Technology and Environment Government of Tripura.

Entrusted role of the organization is to popularize and promote activities in the field of Science and Technology in Tripura.

However, the main objectives of the council are to promote popularization of Science and the spread of scientific temper and attitude among the people of the state.

Besides, to initiate, formulate, promote, support, establish, and implement demonstration projects with Science and Technology inputs for the up-liftman of the people of the state / utilization of local resources

To disseminate the knowledge of Science, eradicate superstition, unscientific beliefs and irrational attitudes the council takes initiatives.

Besides, the members also prepare or assist in the preparation of Science and Technology plans for the State and identify priority areas of Science and Technology needed for long term development of the state.

However, the council on Wednesday conducted a rally condemning the goons attack and walked across the city.
