AGARTALA / BELONIA, Dec 15 (TIWN): Governor Tathagata Roy on Tuesday in his maiden visit to South District held a meeting with a district administration official to discuss about the status of the development projects underway in the district.
As part of his visit, Governor Tathagata Roy held a crucial meeting with the officials of various departments at Dak Bunglow. It is to be mention here that after taking charge as the Governor, this is his maiden visit to South district of Tripura.
However, Roy also took a Note of Belonia Feni Railway Network, probabilities to set up Kendiya Vidyalaya SChool and he also discussed on the issue to setup old Airbase station at Maichara.
Governor also visited Belonia Town and afterwards he also visited Srinagar Border Haat.
Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy was welcomed by the officials of the district administration along with other dignitaries at Belonia.
70-year-old civil engineer turned politician was appointed by the President of India Pranab Mukherjee.
However, after offering prayer in the temple he took a visit around the premises of temple and also visited the Udaipur Circuit house for a while.
President of India Pranab Mukharjee on May 12 appointed 70-year-old Roy, a former president of the BJP's West Bengal unit Tathagata Roy, as the 16th governor of Tripura.
