AGARTALA, September 13 (TIWN): All Tripura Blind Committee on Sunday organized a conference at Vivekananda Auditorium, demanding to take initiatives for the unemployed blind people across the state.
Through special initiatives every year recruitment process should be organized for the blind people. Besides, the blinds should be provided with BPL card. The blind’s of very part of the state should be provided with an allowance of Rs. 3,000.
Besides, they also demands to assure 3percent of reservation for the handicapped in the state.
Initiatives must be taken for all the blinds of the state that does not have any land or houses. The blind people should be provided with Rs. 500 as fare fee instead of Rs. 200.
It has been mentioned that a Separate Department should be assigned for the Blind people of the state. Besides, they asked to provide the entire spending of treatment by the blind people.
They also demanded to initiate advance multipurpose education in the all the blind schools of the state and many others.
The programme was inaugurated by Rural Development (Panchayat) MLA Ratan Das. Besides, Minister Dey has handed over blind kits to the blind people during the programme, in the presence of Purnima Roy Chairperson of Tripura Commission for Women.
