Agartala, September 12 (TIWN):Many vehicles stranded at about Ten-km road from Assam’s Lowerpoah Road due to incessant rain and continuous movement of heavy loaded vehicles the condition of the road had deteriorated to such an extent that it has become dangerous to ply vehicles.
In some cases, lorry drivers had to seek elephant’s help to recover stranded vehicle by paying huge money- Rs. 500 to Rs. 1000.
Trucks loaded different essential items have got stranded at Lowerpoah and its adjacent area as the national highway remains continues to remain grim due to lackadaisical attitude of the Assam government. Due to odd communication, the prices of essential items are high here in Tripura.
People were unable to move outside the state for treatment. Situation will take ugly turn once the rail service gets suspended from September 20 due to mega block work.
