Police seized illegal liquors at Kamalpur, 1 arrested

KAMALPUR, SEPTEMBER 11, (TIWN): In a move against the flourishing trade of illegal liquors police seized a huge quantity of illegal foreign and country made liquors conducting raids at four separate places last night.
According to the reports at around 10-30 pm on Friday Kamalpur police conducted raids at Halhali, Manikbhnadar, Lambucherra and Srirampore area. During this raid police destroyed 18 litres of country-made liquor at Halhali. 37 bottles of foreign liquor each containing 750 ml of liquor had been seized by Police, addingly 22 litres of country-made liquors more.
In this raid police arrested one Malay Deb of Lambucharra from Manikbhnadar market who had long been associated with illegal selling of liquors.
