Kamalpur: Surma bye-election ended peacefully with almost 84% casting: Nothing untoward reported

KAMALPUR, June 28 (TIWN): The bye-election of Surma assembly constituency ended in peace and tranquility. Nothing untoward was reported so-far.
All the contesting candidates and political parties thanked the commoners for their active participation in the process. Although voting was on in some of the booths till evening, the sources of the election authority claimed the average of vote to be 84%.
From the early morning people gathered in the polling stations to cast their votes. Contesting candidates plied to and fro in the constituency and none made any allegation. The security forces performed their duty and people enjoyed the untimely vote enthusiastically.
