AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): Keeping an eye on the ensuing by-election, SDM Manik Lal Das along with the polling personnel conducted a by-election counting training session with the counting officials and observer at District Magistrate programme hall on Tuesday.
They were directed to make adequate arrangements as per the directives laid down by the Election Commission.
Training was imparted for counting official of 13-pratapgarh and 46-Surma assembly constituency of Tripura which will be held on June 30, as per the notification of Election Commission of India.
Manik Lal Das, SDM, Sadar chaired the training session and issued necessary instructions to the counting officials who are getting prepared for the upcoming by-election which will be held on June 27.
According to the notification of the Election Commission of India, the polling for by-elections in the mentioned state would start from 8:00 AM and would be continued till 5:00 PM. The elections will be completed by July 2, 2015, issued ECI.
The commission has decided that the voter’s identification shall be mandatory in the aforementioned by-elections at the time of poll. Electoral photo identity card (EPIC) shall be the main document of identification of a voter.
To enforce the election on time, all the School and other organization which falls in between 13-pratapgarh and 46-Surma assembly constituency will remain close. Even the employees who are employed under any other organization outside the constituency will get a special casual leave on June 27.
