Khowai, May 30 (TIWN): Animal Resource Development Department at Khowai District Office tilla area lacks in storing medicines for the animal resulting sufferings for the residents of the area with their cattle’s in their houses.
Reportedly, in this crucial circumstance of abrupt change in weather, it is mandatory to provide the animals all type of necessary medical aid for the healthy living of the animals.
It is alleged that, for last 3 months neither any injection nor any vaccines, saline, tablets are available for the consumption of the domestic pet in the department. As a result the people are bound to buy medicines for their domestic pet from the market with much higher rate. People have to pay double amount for buying the same medicine from the market. The medicine which is available in the ARDD cost Rs300 and the same medicine cost Rs 600 in the market.
Residents alleged that they have tried many times to reach to Office in-charge Dr.Jhutan Ghosh but he was never available to answer to the question of the villagers.
Taking to a retired officer of Khowai veterinary hospital he stated that the regular vaccines like FMD. H.S, BU, F1, IVT, R2B which is always mandatory for the animals is not at all available in the department.
The locals urged the department to make the required medicines available in the hospital as early as possible.
