KHOWAI, May 30 (TIWN): Two were arrested on Friday evening at around 5 pm near Lal Tilla Bazar under Khowai PS, accused of gambling.

Additional Police super Haripadh Das with the initiatives of Officer in-charge Narayan Chakraborty along with other officials raid the area and chased the gang of gamblers, said sources. According to the police sources, they successfully arrested two of the gamblers and ceased all their money along with their mobiles and other items.

We are digging deeper into an illegal gambling bust in Khowai district, said an official. During the raid we have arrested two of them, namely Rakesh Biswas (28) and Prantosh Sarkar (30). They were the resident of Agartala Town Pratabgarh, further added.

Detailing to the incident, sources further enhanced that the gamblers went to Khowai with the help of an ambulance at reached to Poddabill Bazar. It has been assumed that the local peoples of the area were also involved in the incident, further added by sources.

However, Police is further investigating the case.
