BELONIA, May 28 (TIWN): Police succeed to arrest one person connected with the murder of a youth, a couple of days ago at Belonia. However, sources informed that the arrested person should be place in the Court for jail remand on Thursday.

According to the sources, at May 23 from Belonia subdivision’s Motai Bhumihin Colony, dead body of a youth was found near the Indo-Bangla border. The youth was identified as Sushankar Majumder (26). The body was found with tying of towel at the neck.

Police had immediately rushed to the spot and recovered the deceased body. Investigation process starts rapidly after that by the police. Few days after on Thursday morning, one person named Bishnu Paul was arrested in connection with the murder. It is to be mentioned that Bishnu is a close friend of Sushankar.

Several witnesses try to clear the fact that Bishnu is behind the murder. Firstly, the day when Sushankar was murdered, he spent quality time with Bishnu. Secondly after the death of Sushanka, Bishnu was missing. Lastly few irregularities were also found in the statement of Bishnu also.

Despite tall claims by chief minister Manik Sarkar of economic development and progress in the state of Tripura for last few years has been crippling with the rise of crimes. The police is showing negligence attitude towards the maintenance of law and order situation in the State. Though The Tripura Home department has decided to strengthen the police and jail administration including imparting advance training, to more police personnel, but there is a rapid case of decrease in the duty of the police personnel.
