AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN): The scam of fake examiners for writing exams in place of the original candidate is nothing new incident, and “fake†candidates becoming Doctors and destroying healthcare. Fake candidate doing these kind of operations over past many years but no action was taken to arrest the masterminds behind operating this rackets. On Sunday evening, a fake candidate was nabbed by the police personnel of East police station during 1st year Medical entrance examination held at MBB College organized by Tripura Medical College & Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial teaching Hospital.Police said during the Sunday Medical entrance examination at MBB College, the invigilators grew suspicious on one candidate and checked his photograph, signature and other details and later informed the police.In the initial investigation police has arrested a candidate identified as Moh.Iqbal who was writing the entrance examination in place of the authentic candidate Ashis Baruah of Assam.Till the filing of the report the arrested youth was being continuously questioned by the police and police revealed that the fake sitter of the examination was a resident of Bihar who came to city for appearing in the exams on behalf of the original candidate.
People alleged that hefty amount are being paid, may be in lakhs to hire a fake examiner. The rate for providing dummy candidates varied according to the demand of the students.
However, the accused is presented before the court and police is further investigating the case and judge sent them to jail custody till 29th May.
