AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN): Demanding to assure 3percent of reservation for the handicapped in the state, All Tripura Blind Committee (ATBC) organized a 4hour mass rally at Vivekananda Stadium on Monday.
Special initiatives should be taken to create various posts for the blind people, said Khokon Chandra Roy, General Secretary of ATBC.
Further it has been demanded by Ramu Debnath, Convenor of State Committee that the homeless and landless blind’s should be benefited and also a BPL card must be provided to the needy. The blind’s of very part of the state should be provided with an allowance of Rs. 3,000 and a total of Rs. 500 should be provided to the blind employees of the state, demanded President of ATBC Bhrajahari Debnath. They also demanded to resolve the tax services on them and to establish a separate department for the handicapped people.
Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Titan Rai Karmakar, Sanjoy Dhan Bhowmik, Shyamal Choudhury, Dhrubajyoti Chakraborty along with others was present.
