AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN): The World Health Organization (WHO) declared that physiotherapy profession are among the advance medical system for curing the non-communicable disease in the recent era, said Sabhyasachi Chowdhury, state Convener, IAP while addressing in a press conference at press club.
Indian Association of Physiotherapist (IAP), Tripura Branch today handed over the raised fund of around Rs. 40,000 to Chief Minister Relief fund. The fund was raised for the victims of Nepal who were jolted in a massive earthquake of 7.5 magnitudes, in which more than hundreds of people lost their lives, said State Convener, IAP Chowdhury. They are also focusing to organize a National Level Essay Competition for school students to create awareness among the youth about the benefits and functions of the Physiotherapist, further added.
They also raised demand to increase post at different sectors including sports, schools and health, said Chowdhury.
Rini Chakraborty, Atanu Datta and Moti Lal Debbarma along with other were present at the conference.
