AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): A body of a juvenile boy has been recovered from Astabal area on Sunday morning. The deceased is identified as Sujit Das, son of Kamal kanti Das.
West police personnel confirmed that the deceased was a resident of Radhanagar Bosti. The police personnel also said that he went for stealing in a house and was chased by the owner of the house. The deceased had serious injury in his forehead and it has been assumed by the police that he got himself hit by the wall, while he was being chased by the owner of a house and died on the spot.
Detailing about the incident sources further said that, his body was recovered from a drain at the backside of an old building. Along with the body, a handkerchief was also found from the spot, from which he was allegedly inhaling drugs, added sources.
Sources further enhanced that the deceased was addicted to drug inhaling and police was in search of him for past few days for most of the theft cases filed against him.
However, the body has been sent for post mortem and further investigation is going on, says sources.
