AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): An Indian classical musician in the Hindustani music tradition Ustad Rashid Khan on Saturday held a press conference at Agartala press club talking up the issue of the functioning of the Sangeet-Graam, a musical village set up in Tripura which came to a halt.
Khan said that the musical institution which has come to a halt would now function restoring its problems. By 6 months from now the Sangeet-Graam would be restored and it would function smoothly.
He also said that once in a month he will visit the state and would conduct several workshops with the artists here. Whereas, Khan also aims to bring some eminent musicians and artists from abroad here in Tripura after every 3 months.
Khan talking to the reporters here at the press club during the press conference said that the ONGC Tripura Asset had supported the Sangeet-Graam with Rs. 1.50 crore.
