KHOWAI, May 23 (TIWN): Deprived from the basic education, thirty-five families staying at Monai Bari of Bidya bil adc Village under Tulashikhar Block carrying the tag of illiteracy, said sources.
Out of 35 families in the area, only one boy is studying at Ashram Bari 12th class School and others remained illiterate as there are no education centres for the people in the nearby area, said sources. “The people of the area would have been highly benefited with the installation of education centre in the nearby area”, said Prashanta Sabar. He also said that if any interested person comes up to get education, they had to walk for 12 kilometeres to go to school.
It is further reported that the village people are also deprived from the drinking water facility and also not avail to the electricity facility in the area. “Due to lack of water it becomes impossible for us to cultivate more than one time in a year”, said a villager.
As a part of drinking water the villagers are dependent on the well water. However, the villagers demanded to avail them will fresh drinking water along with electricity facilities. They mostly focused to avail them with education centre where the children can get the opportunity to study and make themselves literate.
