KAMALPUR, MAY 20 (TIWN): In the recent memo No. 8(1)/ FIN(G)/2014 dated 31/03/2015, the State Government announced some financial benefits to the employees and pensioners. But unlike the previous times, this time the Government not extended this facility to the pre-2006 pensioners. Moreover, in the aforementioned Memo, all the Bank Managers and the Treasury Officers were instructed to fix up the Basic Pension of pre-2006 pensioners without waiting for any order from RBI or AG.
Now this became impossible as without the amendment of 7(i), 7(ii),7(iii) Tripura Civil Services (revised Pension) Rules, 2009. Again financial matters like that could never be fixed without the prior order of Finance Department. As a result, the pre-2006 Pensioners got suffered and it’s too for the first time. Hence the pensioners organized a Press Meet at Kamalpur Press Club and appealed to the CM and the Finance Minister to adopt steps to remedy the deprivation. They also sought help and co-operation from the pensioners’ organization of the State. Pensioners Ajit Chatterjee, Manik Bhattacharjee, Harendra Debnath and others spoke in the meet.
