UDAIPUR/AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): The condition of the Horticulture garden at Pholo Kumari Upajati Colony, under Udaipur sub-division is getting worse day by day due to negligence of the Horticulture department.

The Horticulture department is not taking any proper step to make the garden a useful one. No Horticulture department officials are coming forward to solve the issue. But some Horticulture officials are engaged in looting money in the name of maintenance of the garden, said sources.

According to the source, various kinds of fruit plants were planted in the garden but due to non-monitoring of horticulture department only few plants are present in the garden. At present the garden has become a place for cattle fodder.

The horticulture garden is also becoming a gossiping place for the anti-socials. Taking the advantage of night many illegal activities are also conducted by the anti-socials in the garden, said sources.   

It is to be mentioned here that, the central government is spending huge amount for horticulture gardens.
