AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): Tripura Olympic Association (TOA) on Monday held an executive committee meeting at Bhagat Singh Yuba Abhas with Member of Parliament (MP) Jitendra Chowdhury presided over the programme.

The meeting on Monday has taken up the issue to enhance the sports of the state by organizing several related programme.

The meeting decided to start state level games during the winter session, along with the meeting had also decided to take up several events by organizing exhibition matches between Tripura and other states and countries.

TOA general secretary Dr. Sujit Roy said that the executive level meeting that was held on Monday taking up the issue of the internationally achieved players has decided to start an insurance scheme for those players of the state who will make an achievement in an international level.
