Udaipur, April 28 (TIWN): On yet another negligence of the Tripura Police, one prisoner managed to escape from Udaipur Jail on Monday night showing a thumb to the police guard. The prisoner was identified as Tabikul Islam, resident of Comilla, Bangladesh.
Sources informed that on April 18th, Kakrabon Police had arrested Tabikul from Kishoreganj. He was accused of stealing gold ornaments and cross the border without any valid identity proof. Earlier he was produced before the Court where 14 days jail remand had been granted for him. But mysteriously on Monday night, Tabikul succeed to fleed away from the trap of the police.
Despite tall claims by Chief minister Manik Sarkar on economic development and law & order in the state of Tripura for last few years has been crippling with the rise of crimes.
Tripura Police is showing unnegligible attitude towards the maintenance of law and order situation in the State. Though The Tripura Home department has decided to strengthen the police and jail administration including imparting advance training, to more police personnel, but there is a rapid case of decrease in the duty of the police personnel.
