AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): Seven students of NIT Agartala was asked to leave the hostels immediately by the NIT authority on Monday for their indiscipline lifestyle and ragging the junior students of the institution.
The ongoing pandemonium in the institute hostels has led to the expulsion of seven senior students of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala on Monday. The NIT authority also imposed a fine of Rs. 15,000/ on each of the expelled students for their misconduct including ragging of the junior students in the institution campus.
It may be mentioned here that the institution was witnessing large scale pandemonium recently including the tassel with a local shop owner of the campus and mass ragging on the junior students and creating havoc in the hostels. The final year students who have been expelled from the hostels by the authority are Dip Sinha, Baibhob Jain Rai, Santosh Kumar, Alajangi Venkatesh, R Reddy, Pradip Kumar and Deepak Kumar.
The institute authority has further cautioned the irate students to stick to the rules and regulations of the institute or to face the disciplinary actions.
