AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): Tripura Panchayat Employees Association (TPEA) on Sunday held a meeting with its workers centering their 44 charter of demands with the state govt. The association voicing for the overall development of the state Panchayat department demanded for the promotion of the Group-D employees soon.
TPEA on Sunday held a press conference at Agartala TGEF office. The association also demanded the state govt. to clear the pending 44% DA of the panchayat employees.
Tripura Panchayat Employees Association (TPEA) organized their 13th state level conference regarding their 44 point of demands at Agartala Press Club on April 11.
Addressing in the conference chairman of TPEA Manika Chakraborty said that the opportunist Congress and BJP shed tears for poor only at the time of Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and then quickly forget their plight after assuming power. “Both the parties are now crying for the poor because the Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections are approaching. But, they will forget them after assuming power.
So, there is need for an alternative based on common policies to fight against these two parties,” said Chakraborty.
