KAILASAHAR, April 23 (TIWN): Devastating fire at Kailsahar’s Babubazar had turned 20 shops and 3 houses into ashes on Tuesday midnight. The total amount of loss is estimated to be nearly 1 crore rupees. However, the cause of fire is presented as a short circuit.
Among the affected ones, Yakub Ali’s computer shop had been damaged resulting in the loss of Computer, Printing machine and airtel cards. Fakur Ali’s farm and other important things were also turned into ashes. The District administration had rushed to the spot on Wednesday morning and inspects the affected place. Financial assurance had been given by the administration. Two engines of fire service had been engaged to tackle the situation.
It is to be mentioned that Fire incidents have reached an alarming rate in the State. The fire service officials opined that hike in temperature, lack of caution in houses and factories, faulty electric supply lines and use of defective gas cylinders were responsible for this rise in fire incidents. However, the electric department had also not taken proper steps to stop the illegal electric connections at roads which had led the danger of fire broke out. On the other hand, lying of this hook lines also claimed life of people in danger.
