Udaipur, April 19 (TIWN): The Udaipur CJM court on Saturday sentenced 14 days of jail custody to Jhutan Das (24) S/O­ Sadhan Das, resident of Kalaban, Pukta Das Para for rapping a minor girl on April 13.

According to sources, Jhutan Nama the accused is a student of Udaipur, Netaji Subhash College reading in B.A. 3dr year. It has been reported that Jhutan Das who is also the neighbor of the victim’s family called her at his room on April 13, at around 11 am. When her mother Rina Das went to take bath, taking the chance of those split of seconds he raped that 10yr old child so brutally that her life is now in the verge of death.

It is to be mentioned here that a case has been registered against Jhutan Das (24), S/O­ Sadhan Das, resident of Kalaban, Pukta Das Para; Case number 2015WRP036, Section 376(2)(i). The complaint has been lodged by victim’s mother Rina Das (30) on the very day of that incident that is on 13/04/2015.

It is also to be mentioned here that the state police DG had claimed a decline of 18% crime rate in the state over the year. But the rate at which the crimes, especially the women related crimes are taking place in the state, the DGs claim will surely bite the dust soon.
