Agartala, April 6 (TIWN):A total number of 6, 58,679 applicants are on the Live-Register of different employment exchange of Tripura at the end of February , 2015, this was stated by Balin Debbarma, Director of Employment Services & Manpower Planning department..

The total number of job seekers registered in different district employment exchange are below class VIII  – 59493, class VIII passed – 248665, Madhyamik – 195034, HS – 66346, graduate – 47199,post graduate – 9335, engineers( BE, B tech, M tech and diploma) -  3026, doctors – 303,tradesmen 2101 and others – 27177 informed the director.

Among the job seekers number of SC -  107209,ST – 152732, OBC – 49082, minority – 27357 and physically challenged  - 5280. The director informed among the physically challenged  number of job seekers from mentally – 104, visually – 791, hearing – 642, orthopedically – 3700 and multiple – 5280.The data given by the official it was stated 3035 job seekers  became overage in 2014, 2840 job seekers in 2013 and 2970 job seekers 2012.    

The ministry, which has launched a skilled development initiative in a large-scale to prepare a pool of skilled workforce in the country, also has drawn up plans to connect all its employment exchanges so as to help job seekers enroll in any of the 969 centres across the country, said the official.
