UDAIPUR, April 5 (TIWN): Three detained with arms and ammunition from Khowai on charge of TSR jawan Manik Roy murder case gets 4 days police remand on Saturday. However police demanded for 10 days remand, but the CJM Court on Saturday sent the accused persons to 4 days remand. They will be produced before the court again on April 7.
On April 1 Khowai police managed to detain at least three men along with arms and ammunitions from Khowai. However the three were found to be involved with the TSR murder case incident occurred on March 12 at Killa under South District. The three were produced before the Udaipur Second Class Judicial Magistrate Court after they were brought to Udaipur from khowai.
Besides, the other two accused persons who were earlier arrested on the case are behind the bar now. They will be produced before the court again on April 8 after their 14 days jail custody.
It is worthy to be mentioned here that acting on a tip off Khowai SDPO Jyotishmoy Das Choudhuri along with his police squad on Wednesday midnight detained at least three men from Belsang Chibuk Khar village under Khowai Police Station. Police also recovered one 9 mm pistol and 4 round live cartridges from the detained persons. They were identified as Nalesh Debbarma (35) TSR Jawan resident of Khowai Baijalbari, Sanjit Debbarma (30) and another Sanjit Debbarma (38) of the same area. However later the three were found to be involved to the incident occurred at Killa jungle area under South District of the state where one TSR jawan Manik Roy was found shot dead.
According to the police amongst the three Nalesh Debbarma, who is a TSR Jawan by profession was found to have murdered the TSR jawan Manik Roy, while earlier another accused person Rajib Roy was found to be the mastermind behind the incident. Earlier the Killa Police reveled that one TSR Jawan was helped to murder Manik Roy.
