AGARTALA, April 5 (TIWN): Education (Sports and Youth Affairs) minister Sahid Choudhury on Saturday visited ongoing construction site of Indoor stadium at NRSCC. He was accompanied by the higher authorities and ace gymnast Dipa Karmakar.

After reviewing the work progress of the entire construction site minister Sahid Choudhury directed the concerned authorities to complete the work within the schedule time. He told the implementing agencies not compromise with the quality.

The full air ­conditioned stadium seating capacity is 2500. Besides a four storied building is constructed for judo, karate and other sports activities.

He also commanded to maintain the quality of construction. Later, the minister expressed his satisfaction about the progress of the construction.

According to sources, during the meeting, on behalf of the PWD officials assured that entire construction except painting of the building would be finished by the December, this year.
