Agartala, April 1 (TIWN):Senior IAS officer Yaspal Singh today took charge as the Chief Secretary of Tripura.Singh, a 1984-batch Manipur – Tripura cadre IAS officer.After taking charge he called on Chief minister Manik Sarkar.
Talking to the reporters after assuming charge, he said that he would work as per the priorities of the state government and would ensure monitoring and implementation of programs being carried out by Central and State Government for the welfare of common man.
Singh said that work would be executed in the state after consulting the other senior administrative officials. He would soon tour all districts, sub division in the state.He also termed the state as best governed and peaceful one of the country, it is second home coming. Singh replaces G.K. Rao who retired on 31st March.
