Khowai, April 1 (TIWN): Childrens Drama Festival will be going to be held at Khowai Town Hall from April 22. The festival will continue upto April 24th which is organized by Cultural Campaign. Speaking about the schedule of the festival, Secretary of the Cultural Campaign, Saikat Roy told that most of the dramas are played by adult artists. So, the Campaign has organized such type of innovative campaign only to motivate the children.
Further, Mr. Roy told that the festival is inaugurated on April 22. After that on April 23, artists from Agartala will play drama of “Uttar Falguni” and then Mahakaran Binodon Sanstha will stage drama. On the concluding day “Sabuj Kali” will play drama.
Member of the Campaign, Arun Pal told that organizing such type of festival, we are trying to focused to make school children aware about the importance of theatre like any other performing of arts. The festival is one of the ways to keep theatre alive in the city. The next generation must be nurtured to sustain the form.
It is to be mention that, it has become evident in research that drama has a positive effect on early child development and later academic success. Interactive play using authentic (everyday) language and literacy experiences set children up for meaningful learning.
