Agartala, February 23 (TIWN): In a surprise move, Joint Action Co-ordination Committee (JACC) and Joint Action Committee (JAC) jointly expelled assistant secretary of JAC outfit- Amrit Reang (Pre-1998 returnees) with the charges of anti-organization activities.
Amrit Reang is involved in collecting huge money from the helpless returnees, said general secretary of JAC- Sailen kumar Bru in a press conference jointly organized by JACC and JAC at Agartala Press Club here today.
He further mentioned that Achai Khasrang Jamatia, who was earlier expelled from JACC formed a new committee in collaboration with Amrit Reang in order to eyewash the returnees and submitted a list of more than one thousand persons to the authorities for proper rehabilitation.
Challenging the matter, Bru claimed that the list of returnees submitted by Achai Khasrang Jamatia to the authority is entirely fake saying that they are all non-returnee persons.
On the other hand, Amrit Reang and Achai Khasrang Jamatia are NLFT (NB) returnees. Therefore, they do not reserve the right to lead the pre-1998 returnees, said Bru.
Consequently, the JACC and JAC expelled Amrit Reang and Achai Khasrang Jamatia with the charges of anti-organization activities from JAC, JACC outfits and BRP scheme as well, Bru added.
