AGARTALA, February 23 (TIWN): With an aim of providing digitalized ration card the data collection process is in progress all over the state. March, 31, 2015 is the targeted time to complete the entire process. While replying to a question raised by MLA Jiten Sarkar at Assembly Minister for Food and Civil supplies, Bhanu Lal Saha, said this in Assembly.
Replying to a question raised by MLA Ashish Saha the minister for Food and civil supplies, said that the state government has been maintaining regular liaison with the Union Oil Ministry and Indian Oil Corporation for strengthening the capacity of the Bishalgarh Gas Bottling Plant and thus to solve the cooking gas requirement of consumers . Indian Oil Corporation limited also took initiative on the issue. Bishalgarh Bottling Plant has got the capacity of bottling of 83 M.T .per day at present.
The IOCL authority has taken initiative for upgrading the capacity of Bishalgarh bottling Plant 450 MT daily instead of 83 MT at present. In view of ensuring 100 percent cooking gas supply from the state itself the IOCL authority has got a plan to set up more gas bottling plant in the state. The IOCL authority has been searching for land required for the purpose. Referring to IOCL authority of the state the minister said that the initiative of the IOCL authority is likely to gain ground soon.
