AGARTALA, February 21 (TIWN): Road mishap claimed the life of one Border Security Force (BSF) jawan and left five injured BSF jawans of 168th battalion at Gala Chipa area in Hrishyamukh, South Tripura under Hrishyamukh police station, here today.
According to police, the jawans of 168th battalion BSF went to Gala Chipa area three kilometers away from the main road for some work while returning the vehicle carrying the jawans over turned in Gala Chipa area while taking a right turn. As a result one of the BSF jawan namely Raju Mondal died on the spot and left five injured BSF jawans.
After getting the information police personnel from Hrishyamukh police station rushed to the spot. The five injured BSF jawans were immediately rushed to the Hrishyamukh hospital wherein the jawans were treated with first aid.
After first-aid the five jawans were discharged from the hospital, said police.
