Assam Rifles seize two country made pistols and other arms

KHOWAI, February 15 (TIWN): Just ahead of TTAADC election 32nd battalion of Assam Rifles recovered two country made pistols and other arms and ammunition in Asharampur para of Maharanipur under Kalyanpur police station yesterday midnight.
"Acting on a tip off, the Assam Rifles troopers conducted raids in Asharampur para of Maharanipur under Kalyanpur police station yesterday midnight and recovered two country made pistols and other arms and ammunition.
According to sources, later Assam Rifles troopers handed over the two country made pistols and other arms and ammunition to Kalyanpur police station.
No arrests have been made so far regarding the incident.
The sources further said that ahead of the TTAADC election militancy is on rise in the state.
